Kansas is one of my least favorite states to have to drive thru except in August when all the sunflowers and Black-eyed Susans are in bloom. It is simply the most fantastic sight to look out over the plains as far as the eye can see at this golden blanket across the land. April is nice too when the yucca are in bloom and the blanket is white. The other ten months are the pits. BB
